The All Saints' Barnby-in-the-Willows bells are hung in a cast-iron H frame for six bells made by Taylors of Loughborough in 1932. Four of the bells were recast from the originals in 1932, with the current second being added at the same time having been given by the Barron Bell Trust. The smallest, the treble, was added in 1935 and celebrates the reign of King George V from 1910 to 1935, completing the present peal of six bells (the dedication service was held on Thursday 9 May 1935 at 6.30 pm - to view the Order of Service sheet click here). Of the recast bells the fourth was originally produced in 1636. The third and fifth were originally cast in 1713 and bear the name of G Sharp Esq whose details, and those of his relatives, may be seen on various memorials around the Church. The tenor (sixth) was originally cast in 1753.

The bell frame was renovated in June 1999 by Hayward Mills of Nottingham. In addition, minor repairs were carried out to the bell mechanisms, weather boards were fitted to the tower windows along with bird guards to prevent access by pigeons and other birds. The work was supported by grants from the Onyx Environmental Trust and the Barron Bell Trust.
On 1 January 2000 the newly formed Barnby-in-the-Willows bell ringers took part in 'Ring in 2000'. This project was initiated in 1997 in order to recruit and train thousands of new ringers to join a nationwide ringing in of the new millennium. Several thousand churches throughout the UK took part, most of them at midday on New Years Day.

A minor composition (a composition for 6 bells) exists called Barnby-in-the Willows. Judging by our current standard we are many years away from being able to ring it! However, the composition is available to view if you click here.
To celebrate the marriage of Nicola Goodwin to Scott Bower, on 30 December 2000, a band of ringers from Balderton rang the first quarter peal at Barnby for many years.
